Closest match to your question:

When do I register for classes?

New/incoming students:

If you have accepted your admission offer and paid your tuition deposit, course registration will open in late April for the fall and winter terms. You will receive an email notification any time there is an update to your admission status, including eligibility to register for courses.

Continuing students:

The 'Enrolment Dates' page in Bear Tracks lists the date and time you can start registering for classes for the upcoming term(s).

All UAlberta students:

You can create a conflict-free draft schedule in Bear Tracks prior to your enrolment date using the 'Schedule Builder' page. Please refer to Bear Tracks Resources for more information. Once you have added classes to your Schedule Builder you will be able to validate your classes to ensure that no time conflicts are present, course requisites are met, and you haven't added more courses to your schedule than you are allowed.

If you are planning to register in both terms you should register in your Winter Term courses at the same time that you register in Fall and Fall/Winter courses.
