How and when will I receive my scholarship?

A Notice of Award will be sent to you in October with information regarding the conditions and regulations of your award. Please visit Information for award recipients for details on how to accept your award and the applicable deadlines.

All award payments will be applied directly to any outstanding tuition fees first. If you are registered full-time in both terms, awards will be split in half, with 50 per cent of the award applied to your student account for the Fall Term and the other 50 per cent applied to your account for the Winter Term. Should your registration drop to part-time, your scholarships will be prorated.

If your tuition is already paid in full, a refund will automatically be processed and mailed directly to you in the form of a cheque. This will be sent to the address you have listed on Bear Tracks.

Please note: if you would like to receive your refunds via direct deposit, please enter your banking information into Bear Tracks under “Financials - Direct Deposit”. Direct deposit payments can only be made to recognized Canadian financial institutions and only to chequing or saving accounts, not to lines of credit.
